I remember the day I decided to apply and work abroad. Some of my loved ones didn’t like my decision which stung my heart. When I was in the Middle East, I'd serve passengers, even the most difficult ones, with my brightest smile. My colleagues admired how strong I was, and how I handled unpleasant passengers gracefully.
Little did anybody know I was battling homesickness, stress, and sleep debt. I kept telling myself mentally that I cannot mess up, or else there would be consequences.
And those setbacks shaped me to be who I am today.
As we go on through life, we experience failures, disappointments, and heartbreaks. Sometimes all we could do is just cry it out and reflect on the what-ifs. But let us also consider what we could do better, plan better, and try again.
People were given the ability to hope and to use that hope to stand up again. Progress manifests itself in a variety of ways. What matters is that you keep going. If you can't run, walk. And if you can't walk, crawl! It doesn’t matter how fast you get there!
The unfortunate happens but we have the power to turn our luck around.
