An American essayist, Henry David Thoreau said, “Not until we are lost, we begin to understand ourselves.”

There are times we encounter things unexpectedly. Our heads spin because we feel lost on what to do. Being lost is part of our journey because it allows us to learn more about ourselves, and do some soul searching perhaps. We unlock gifts we never thought we had. And more interestingly, we get to share these hidden gifts with others. One advantage of being lost is that we dare to go with the flow, and create opportunities for ourselves as we tread this unknown path.

On the day I clipped my wings, despite having created a dream-life masterplan for myself, I was lost. But I’m assured that I carry with me tons of learnings and experiences, and I’m ready to face whatever life throws my way. True enough, in less than a month after settling back home, I found myself on a plane to Bangalore, on my way to a life-changing month in Mysore, Karnataka, India — where my new found purpose crystalized.

As a flight attendant, I encounter spinners. These are last-minute passengers who can’t find their seats, so they end up going up and down the aisles, like headless chickens. Even if I don’t fly anymore, I still meet these spinners. But this time, they are those who are trapped in the rat race, or worse, those who are chasing their own tail — in pursuit of joy and meaning.

In reality, life has no definite directions. At times, it’s okay to go on an adventure and just figure out where to go along the way. Just make sure that you pack the essentials, ready your heart and enjoy the ride. Feel free to wander around, go onto detours, ask for directions, or get a guide — as you wish. The experiences and the lessons learned in your travels will serve as your best souvenirs and stories to share.

Have you been searching for deeper joy and meaning?

“Change the Game” Pepsi said in one of its slogans. Stop hitting that snooze button, get up, and make the choice to go early! Here are reasons why you should:

  • ·Promotes Efficiency and Focus

With less time spent on traffic and less distractions, we get more things done at peace. Tasks don't pile up either.

  • Allows us to prepare for the day

Like athletes, we also need to warm up! We can freshen up, list down the things needed for the day, and enjoy a simple me-time.

  • Delights our colleagues and superiors

One way of earning respect in the workplace is being early and having a good attendance record.

  • Getting To Clock Out Early

We get more time to ourselves and the things that matter. We get to have dinner with family, a yoga session with friends, or catch up on rest.

Personally, I go to my workstation early and do my own warm-ups. I drink tea, meditate, and check today’s agenda before starting work. Creating a routine is more flexible when we start early. We manifest our success through the small habits we build.

What about you? Do you start your day early? What do you do before you start working?

Let’s live a Life Ignited!

Reserve your free seat now at https://ignitegps.io to design and launch a life of deeper meaning, purpose and impact. Our journey starts this June.

When we were kids, we were always asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

We'd smile as if we were certain of and answer with confidence. But as we grow older, we tend to question what we truly want. We might even end up surprising ourselves by the change in our aspirations and dreams.

And that’s okay.

Change is tough and scary but it is a necessity. It is our driving force for enrichment and creativity. So, what do we do? Go on at our own pace. Stop comparing ourselves with others. Let’s face our fears. Take risks and learn from mistakes. Take up a new hobby. Enrich our network. Spread kindness everywhere. Share our experiences, and inspire people.

After all, we only get one shot in life. We can rewatch our TV series as many times as we like but we can’t rewind life.

As we grow, we feel the world seems to get crazier as we age. But let us not forget the simple joys we had when we were younger — bath in the rain, dragonflies and fireflies, fried chicken and spaghetti, hide and seek, blowing bubbles, ghost stories, Jack ‘n Poy, Santa Claus, fireworks, and the list goes on...

To my Mini-Me, I hope you are proud of me. I became a woman blessed with love, courage, and compassion. I want to thank you for surviving all these years, for the teachable moments that allowed me to turn my pains into gifts, by serving others; So, I can be who I am today.

Let me ask you. If you are given a chance to talk to your younger self, will they thank you today? What wacky stories will you share with them? What were the realizations that came along the way? What advice will you tell them?

Life is about deep joy, and meaning. Let me share with you how you can live that kind of life.
